New Ellenton Commission of Public Works offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs. Beginning September 2021, City of New Ellenton residents will begin paying their sanitation and sewer bills at the water department located at 100 South Main St. New Ellenton customers will receive one bill that includes their water, sanitation and sewer charges for each month. Customers living outside the city limits will only have charges pertaining to the water department and should continue to pay their sanitation & sewer bills to the department that provides the service for them. All billing questions should be directed to the water department at (803) 652-2862. If New Ellenton residents have a customer service question/issue related to sanitation, sewer or the street/road department, please contact City Hall at (803) 652-2214.
Online Payment
If paying your bill online, just click the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button. Have your account number handy and follow the prompts.
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five to seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
Payment Drop-Off Location
You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, debit/credit card or money orders. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.

You can make your payment by phone by calling the following IVR#: (833) 686-0436. Please have your account number available when calling.
Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Although this is an online service through the customers bank, the bank in turn mails a check to CPW. There have been increased delays with the US Postal Service recently, therefore customers should allow 10 - 14 days for the payment to be received at our office. Please consult with your bank for more information.
ACH (Automated Draft) Payment
Beginning in September 2021, customers will be able to sign up for ACH Payments by completing the ACH Customer Authorization Form with the Automatic Draft starting in November 2021. This form can be mailed to our P.O. Box, emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the water office located at 100 South Main St. in New Ellenton. The draft will take place on or around the 10th of each month. The form is located under the Forms and Reports section of the website.
